We are so proud of our Run SSHS Team – Running As One – in the Boston Marathon as part of the John Hancock non-profit program.
Our runners are training hard for their 26.2 mile trek from Hopkinton to Boston on April 16, 2018.
But they can’t do it without your support!
Here are four reasons why you should consider supporting Team South Shore Health System:
- Your donation supports cancer care on the South Shore.
Runners on Team SSHS raise funds to support cancer patients and their families on the South Shore. Each year, more than 1,000 new patients seek care at the Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center in clinical affiliation with South Shore Hospital. Marathon funds support the latest diagnostic technology, advanced surgical procedures, comprehensive inpatient care, new therapies and expert clinicians.
- Your donation also supports groundbreaking research.
Did you know that the Cancer Center participates in Clinical Trials? Currently, there are 80 local patients enrolled in 16 Clinical Trials. Results from these trials are included with those of Dana-Farber Boston, helping make great strides in cancer treatment.
- You’ll be part of something bigger.
Donating a little bit of money may not seem like much, but it becomes something much bigger when joined with every donation from our community. When you support a specific runner or the entire Team, you can see their progress towards their goal. Click here to see how your donation really does make a BIG difference!
- You’ll set an example.
Your donation shows that you care. By supporting Team SSHS, you are supporting your community and making a lasting mark on the lives of patients fighting cancer and their families that support them.
